Julien Laurent is an associate research fellow at IRIS, specialised in Energy Market and strategies of players in the energy world.

He works as an energy transition and environment M&A advisor in an independent investment bank since 2022. He particularly advises innovative companies in their funding from the lab to industrial deployment.

Over the last 8 years, he was involved in the Energy and Natural Resources CIB advisory team of Natixis, ending as Industry Banker. With a special focus on cleantech companies, Julien Laurent has then been instrumental on several IPO transactions.

Prior to that, he has been sell-side equity analyst on oil & gas engineering companies for 10 years at Natixis Securities.

Julien Laurent is graduated from Montpellier Business School, with a MSc from IPF School (Energy Economics) and a MSc from ESCP Business School (Financial engineering). He also is a CIIA Charter Holder (French SFAF). He is fluent in English.
